Love of Water by Elizabeth Golden
Love of Water
by Elizabeth Golden
Love of water has brought us home,
From lonely, silent lands;
For love of water we will not roam,
For here our love began.
The hottest day---the driest place,
They cannot make us thirst,
For the living water that we taste
Was given to us first.
Like bushes planted in the sand
Were we before You came.
Now love of water fills the land
For those who trust Your name.
Love of water fills each voice
As we sing our morning praise;
And singing back, we hear Your voice:
The sound of joy and grace!
We love the One who loves us first,
And His children will hear Him say,
"Come to Me, all who thirst."
"Whoever comes... I will never drive away."

In Christ Alone
by Kayla McCord
In Christ alone my hope is found
this Cornerstone is solid ground
On that cross where Jesus was laid
Every sin was paid, for that we were all saved.
What heights of what depths of peace,
when fears are stilled and strivings cease,
Jesus is the One who brings us peace.
In Christ alone who took on flesh
this gift of love and also righteousness.
There in the tomb His body lay
though he stands in VICTORY today,
For that I can proudly say,
He is mine and I am His and He is mine, each and everyday.
Kayla McCord, 15, attends Toledo High School and Logsden Neighborhood Church.
